AWARENESS AND ADVOCACY
Bend Women’s Expo
Spring 2024 EPNR travelled to Bend, Oregon. This event was a gem to participate in. Held at The Inn of the Seventh Mountain, the cooler temperatures outdoors did not stop people, and there were many, from attending the event.

The number of people stopping at our booth far exceeded our expectations! In fact, so many people participated in our anonymous survey that we ran out! Results of our anonymous survey:
Capstone Project Host-site

The summer of 2024, EPNR hosted a graduate student in the Doctor of Occupational Therapy Program at the University of the Pacific (Sacramento, California). A first-time host for this program, we provided guidance and resources for the student to develop a deeper understanding about endometriosis and experiences of those with the disease. EPNR Director Holly Dandurand, CFO served as first-contact relations with the U of P OT Department and mentor for Ms. Brenda Vergara OTD/s.
Capstone Project students are able to select from a range of focus areas, of which they deliver (03) products that comprise their Capstone Project.

Ms. Vergara OTD/s’s three focal areas included a research study (data gathered by participants of a two-part webinar for people with endometriosis), in-service for students and faculty of the OT Dept at the U of P, and a business plan for development of a post-professional continuing education course for Occupational Therapists.
The culmination of each student’s experience ends with their final Capstone Project Presentation. View a portion of our student’s presentation: Ms. Brenda Vergara OTD/s 2024 U of Pacific Capstone Project
